Not Yo' Mama's Banana Pudding

This is Paula Deen's recipe and the best banana pudding that you will ever put in your mouth!! You won't go back to your old recipe after you eat this. Hope that you enjoy!!

2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
6 to 8 bananas, sliced
2 cups milk
1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream
Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top. In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

You might want to put in there that it's Paula's recipe! It is the best banana pudding though, hands down. Did you get new dishes? That plate looks different than what I thought you had.

You're right. This is the best. I had it recently and it totally changed my opinion of banana pudding. Rick was raised on the 'normal' stuff and liked it...I never did. We both like this, so now we can live happily-ever-after!!! (Smiles)

I got a recipe from your mom via my mom and it's very similar to this! I will have to try this version! The one from your mom is VERY yummy! I never liked banana pudding until I tried this! Have a great day! ~Kristi

I played around with the recipe, and instead of the vanilla Chessman cookies on top....I used the chocolate Chessman cookies!! Delish!
